Info plz - Im back after a year away from BF2142, what have i missed??

Hi guys n girlys, i've decided to come back to BF2142 after over a year away. I have a swanky new computer that should take the piss out of this game now, can anyone give me brief rundown of anything interesting i've missed???. I've not re-installed the game yet, but will be doing today at some stage!.

Yeh, i bough COD4, its a great game, but i miss the squad play big time. It seems like its just a big free for all, which i kinda enjoy, but i loved the team play aspect the most. If they incorporated squad play into COD4 it wud be amazing.

2142 still rocks. Voss doesnt destroy all other medic guns. Baur scar and krylov all are awesome. Clark shotgun speed has increased and is crazy strong. No more pod surfing or any movement pretty much

Highway sucks. They just basically took about 7 months just to make weapons better. It's fun for an hour or 2 but thats it. It was a fun game but I can already see the Community dieing.

1.4s out now .... no pod spinning but what pisses me off is when you bail from a chopper you can't "steer" you pod ... you just follow the momentum you had, so often = /splat by your own chopper ...

gtfo from BF2142 forums. And CoD4 is only good for those who enjoyed CS style gameplay. I, for example, like battlefield's gameplay and won't move to anything which doesnt feature squad-based gameplay, vehicles, large maps, etc.

meh...i have a way out of it...fly really really high, about 50 m before your target tilt the nose down and fly down, then eject and watch as the transport lands ahead of you, exploding and killing an annoying tank and have him watch you cap the flag
no i havent done that but that would be hilarious
i think its possible to do though

I've recently come back to 2142 after being away from 1 year too. So far, I'm liking it. I was always dumbstruck that the BF2 die-hards didn't take to bf2142 as to me, it seems to be a very balanced, fun game with way-cooler weapons and awards.

More teamwork in 2142 than BF2 and more variation of maps than BF2 player are giving. Everyone is hanging around karkand and IO servers.

The reason its balanced because none can't just take a vechiles tank or walker and just start raping good. Unlike in BF2 where choppers and jets are pretty much gods of the battlefield and make it not so fun to take them out.
