I can't say that I have seen it but it would be cool to have it.. Eg for the (maybe) upcoming  game  BF3, make it so that both your screens work with the game.. You wouldn't get anything new. Just more space for the battle view and the extra stuff..

I would love that on a RTS game. In this example say a Command and Conquer game.. Combat view (the normal stuff) on one monitor and the map, build stuff, players ect.. on the other one..

Well, its not that my second screen isn't used for anything.. But I would love to have the support for games..

So, any thoughts on what you think?

Good idea, but it would never gain any popularity.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

i think you can have two monitors for SupCom (one for the actual game view and the other for the map thing i believe). FSX or any flight sim ca have more than one screen. Just search on youtube for dual monitors and the like - you'll find what you need.

That would just wide out the area for your view rigth?. Not set one screen to do that and another one to do another thing.

I heard from someone that in Flight Sim he could put the external view on his second monitor or so.
So some games do support it.

I believe MS Flight Simulator has had this support for some time now.

But it seems to me that in FPS, since the crosshairs are in the center of the screen, that it would cause problems.  I could see a dual monitor setup being perfect for a RTS, Flight Sim or even a RPG game but it seems like a stupid idea for an FPS.

Maybe for flight simulators. I would want that for first person shooters.

What I really want is the commande/squad screen on one screen, and the main action on another. No more being snuck up on, or putting commanding on hold to repair assets!

Maybe with a second mouse over there as well for dedicated use.
