Many of the problems of immigration in the EU are becuase of immigrants not integrating into society. The economic side of this integration alone could fix a lot of the current resentment on both sides.

what is middle east though? The definition has changed over time. The middle east covers what many consider to be Africa, Europe and Asia.

I guess it's the region people have called Eurasia before. I'd say from Turkey spanning to the Stans would be "the middle east", while Pakistan and eastwards is Asia. In strict classification though, I believe that the main "middle east" (Israel, Iraq, etc) is Asia.
What about North Africa? Egypt, Sudan.
