Lol at Q19...

I wouldn't mind seeing a complete policy outlook for each candidate, though that would probably be impossible.

Watched quite a few of them. Some very interesting views, but I must admit - Obama is waay better at public speaking than any of the other candidates, at least in those debates. Heading off to watch the Republican ones now.

They are all up. Sometimes the page acts buggy when you have 30+ embedded on one page.

Youtube sponsored it. I'm sure that's the only reason it's up.

BTW Turq check out the response John Edwards gives in #4. Do you buy it?

LOL....  Damn it...  I totally forgot about them being the sponsor...

Anyway, I actually kind of agree with Edwards on his response.  Granted, he could probably accomplish more outside of the White House using that method.

I watched michael moores "sicko" last night, "universal health care" is a joke, i would like to see what each canidates plan is word for word. We need the same coverage that is available in Europe, Canada, and even Cuba. The health plan should include anyone within US Borders, with Us citizenship being the priority in the waiting list to get the medical care taken care of.

It is complete bullshit that a medicine cost 145 dollars in the US but the same medicine costs 5 peso's in Cuba

I like the Euro plan of doctors getting paid more based on the success of fixing their patients

While I agree with many of Michael Moore's points and I really liked "Sicko", I think he overlooked one very important factor here.

You don't want to socialize healthcare until you secure the border.  We have way too many illegals in America to feasibly socialize healthcare at the moment.

Securing the border is not as important an issue as socialized healthcare.... Get the socialized healthcare, and than secure the border. We have to be able to help everyone, we send tons of money and supplies overseas anyways, why not help the people who are hurt right here at home. Help them out, then send there asses back over the border.

If our poor citizens are crossing the border to Canada to get medicine illegally, why shouldnt a Mexican be allowed to? If they are that badly hurt to know they will be deported if they try to get medicine and healthcare, than they wont show up for piddly things and bog the system down

I'm not sure if I follow your logic here.  You're saying that we should set up a system that forces us to subsidize the cost of illegals more than we already have to?

I'm against war just as much as you probably are, which is why I want us out of Iraq while at the same time using our troops to secure the border.  Comparing our poor buying Canadian drugs to Mexicans crossing the border is apples to oranges.  We don't incur anywhere near the same costs on Canadians as illegal Mexicans do to us.

The logic is that socialized health care IMO is more important to me than securing the borders from Mexicans. If you had to pick one thing to solve and only one out of the two (it seems congress can't tackle 2 issues at once), which one would you choose? Its just ridicoulous to me that a bottle of medicine costs 140 dollars in the us, but the same medicine in Cuba can be bought for 5 pesos. If Mexicans want to come over and do work that no one else wants to do, i can let it slide until the health care issue is taken care of.

Mexicans crossing the border isnt taking money out of my pocket, sure it comes out of my taxes, but so do hundreds of other things that i dont approve of, i have to pay taxes whether they cross the border or not. Paying for Health Insurance Premiums and Deductibles and Prescriptions, that comes straight out of my wallet, and it is not cheap!

I see where you're coming from, but for me, it is a sequence of dealing with issues rather than a matter of choosing one over the other.  Sometimes, you have to handle one problem before another.

For example, I would put withdrawal from Iraq ahead of both of these issues, because until then, we don't have the manpower necessary to secure the border.  Our military is tied up in Iraq and Afghanistan.

That doesn't mean that we can't deal with the other 2 issues afterwards.

I believe you.  I used to pay out of pocket for that stuff as well, but my company now pays for most of it.

I don't think you'll find anyone here that will say healthcare is cheap or that the rates we pay are reasonable when compared to places like Canada.  Anyone who has done the research will agree that the private sector is making a killing here (no pun intended).  I just don't see a socialized system working properly until the border is secure.

If it weren't so sad it would be funny. Consider the technology and military might of the United States. I'd like to think for the money we drop in defense that we would be able to secure a 2000 mile border. It's depressing and shameful when the voice of the great majority go unheard.

I'm voting for Kucinich.  Out of everyone, I feel that he is the most qualified to run for President, plus he supports many issues that I click with which the other Democratic nominees (apart from Edwards) don't.
