There are three distinct gaps in the ranks as of now....
Gunnery Srg. - First Srg. (8000 - 20000)
First Srg. - Srg. Major (20000 - 50000)
Srg. Major - 2nd Lt. (50000 - 200000)
I think we can expect First Srg. and Srg. Major to be lowered (Perhaps...)

I have about 27k points and I just recently got the rest of my unlocks out of the blue...maybe they're lowering first sergeant and sergeant major?

True, but I still doubt these are the actual requirements. They focus on the mass, but a lot of the mass is high up in score now already (every day there's more and more sergeant majors running around) and they want to keep those players interested as well.Zeibach wrote:

Why else set the ranks two points away from a number then to test the promotion system to the next rank. one kill....two point...test over. lets have lunch.
I bet that SgtMajor will lowered from the current 50000 to 40000 or less. Because 2nd Lt is now at 60000.

Seriously, they seem to have forgotten all about the Chief Warrant Officer ranks. Perhaps they should go from Sgt. Maj. to CWO-1 then to 2, etc and then hit butter bar Lt.
They only go up to CWO-5
