It would work on the following 2 conditions

1.  you have correct graphics card slot on the motherboard

2.  your power supply can provide enough power to run the card properly.

Ya, if that is the case then it will work, I had a 4600 for a while and swapped a 5200 for an ATI x1300 (I got it for free ),

Yes, as long as it is a PCI-e version. The card will probably include an adapter to hook the PCI-e power to your standard 4pin molex connectors, or your PSU might have the proper PCI-e power connector, but the PSU itself should be able to handle the low power load of the 6800GS.
