For how cheap RAM is now, it would be worth going up to 2 Gig, then should be ok.

It will play it, but with that cpu you wont get far. Looks like you need a whole new mobo, ram, cpu, and gfx card.

1.5 GB ram?
you have a stick of 512 and a stick of 1 gb?
if so, its not a good idea to run ram that way.two 1 gb sticks or two 512etc,etc.sticks should always equal one another.and the way things are going now two sticks of 1 gb would be your best bet...

Fuck sake you guys gotta stop reading benchmarks that involve 1920x1200 8XAA and 16XAF and everything in super maximum. These are the same idiots who bought an 8800GTX only to complain they can't run crysis at said settings.

Yes, your system will play CoD4 pretty nicely, ok, not on the aforementioned settings but I doubt you are gonna play on those settings. Ignore everyone who want you to waste your money upgrading every five seconds.

AMD 3200+ 2.0 GHz
1 gig of crap ram. 3200
BFG 7950 GT

Exactly

Have no problems running CoD4 on my 2,5 year old sys, it's not a benchmark crusher but it plays everything more than nicely without Sli, quadcore or 8800Ultra

Amd Athlon64 4000+, 2GB RAM, Sapp Rad x800xl 512MB still holds on pretty good

dude you will be fine.. you can play COD4 but not with all the eye candy. you have a better system than i do.

i run COD4 well, just have a hard time with the internet connection lag. ping up to 250+ for some people. i got 100ms when i avg BF2 at 60ms.

Check this out man, if you find yourself being persuaded by noobs dropping a couple thousands of dollars on a new upgrade for crysis... run away from them like the plague. im not blowing away all that money anymore for a $50 game only for my rig to be worth peanuts 3-4 years from now. good games are not about how kick ass the graphics are. look at warcraft series back in the day, they were awsome and you can run those on a shitty video card.

i could run crysis on my crappy 7800GS, but it wont look nice. crysis is well made game, but even the most powerful rigs will sooner or later have the hicups.. if ya know what i mean.

I am not blowing all that money anymore, that being said. your choice m8

I pretty much got the same system as you, except 1 GB RAM, and a 3 Ghz CPU.

It still looks great, and runs perfectly.

play real nice with almost everything cranked up on :

P4 2.8 ht
2 gb ram pc 3200
X850XT AGP

This even run Crysis at medium setting quite well, no hiccup, and at medium it looks just as nice as Farcry at maximu setting.
