when you stop sucking... yeah

Why do people allways think that using unlocks makes someone a noob? It's really a matter of your personal preference. Someone likes AK, someone likes l85, someone likes the G36. Who cares? The people that bitch about the unlocks, are the people that get killed with unlocks. They bitch because they don't have the skill to use them. If using G36/ak/what ever gets the job done, who the fuck cares?
Just because you get killed with G36, doesn't really mean the killer is a noob. Think about it. There were two of you, you ended up dead. Whos the noob/less skilled? Yeah, sure you could say that "hes using G36, blind monkey could kill with it". If blind monkey could kill with it, then why not use it yourself? Because it takes no skill? BS, every single weapon takes skill in BF2, even the G36. Just because it's accurate gun with small recoil, doesn't mean it's not a good weapon or is only for noobs. It does the job. Simple. The goal in BF2 is to kill your opponent, not to "learn how to use AK efficiently".
Sheesh!
Oh, and i myself prefer AK over G36 just because AK is sexier ;P But i don't flame people that use G36. If i get killed by G36, i try to learn from the mistake and deal with the situation better next time.
Anyone who bitches about unlocks, IO, medics are all noobs.
I personally think IO takes the same amount of skill as regular. Maybe more, you cant just ride around tank whoring the whole round.
I won't get into the same old ass repetitive BF2 argument but I will say that running around fighting equally matched players is easier. E.g you only fight infantry is easier than running around fighting infantry, staying away from enemy tanks/APC's and when capping a flag knowing someone could be at your location in a few seconds via car or even a jet bombing you. As infantry on normal mode it's harder. And that's a fact.keghog wrote:

I'll always be a noob, it depends on the individual.
A good "sign" that you have gotten good at battlefield 2 is Hacking/Cheating accusations. Though it's not foolproof.

A noob is no longer a noob when he quits vBF2 and starts to play some mods that are better than vBF2 itself.
I agree with all that. Besides, every weapon in BF2 is a noob weapon, not just the unlocks. You are no longer a noob when you realize that in real life, you can't hold those crosshairs perfectly still on a target 50 yards+ away. You have to hold your breath just to keep the crosshairs from moving around.Nanten wrote:

Once a noob, always a noob. Once married, you go on to have nublets.
Noobs can still pwn though. So can nublets.

A Noob is no longer a Noob when he/she learns the essence of teamwork which is not to hard.

Accoding to one thread long ago,
Your are not a noob when you reach like First sargeant or so.
Your are not a noob when you reach like First sargeant or so.
You stop being a noob the moment you realize this is just a game and start playing for fun. Asking others when you stop being a noob is just asking for a whole shitload of opinions that don't mean shit. If you enjoy the game "That's all that matters".
When you have at least twice as many kills as teamwork points
When your least played kit is Medic
When you can fly Havoc (Mec chopper) solo and dodge J10 missiles whiles you take down a Cobra (US chopper) on first shot.
When your favourite equipment is knife.
When your least played map is Karkand.
When you play sniper for the rifle, not the Claymores
When you choose the Type 88/SVD infront of the L96
When you can actually hit with the Type 88/SVD
When your KDR excells 2.6
When your SPM excells 4
When you have all Expert badges.
And much, much more.
/Rant.
@ keghog: You cannot, by any means, say that it's harder to play infantry than flying a plane/chopper. You simply can't.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Ok let me say this.
You can play whatever map you fucking want, if you bought the game and just play Karkand medic only, who cares? Just don't start this arguement.
Also not everyone wants to play in a league, leagues can be boring repetitive and even stress full if you take it too seriously. (Which most people who play in leagues do) Using unlocks doesn't determine if you are a noob, that's just your preference of play, if you get killed by a guy with a L85A1 or even a G36E and you have an AK101 that doesn't mean your a noob. FYI AK101 is the best medic gun in the game by far , why would everyone who plays matches use it then? And don't say because they aren't noobs and don't use noob guns like the G36e, please.

How can said noob know when he is good? That's basically what hes asking..Sup wrote:
Noob stops beeing a noob when he becomes good, plays in a respected league, stops using unlocks and doesnt snipe on inf 16 maps.

+1 for a very reasoned arguement about people using the G36e. You should post it in the G36 whiner threads.Nanten wrote:

I use the AK, the M16 and the L85 along with the G36e depening on the map and situation.
Noobs are people who forget that you told them there's a claymore at a certain point on the map or the AT mine under a tank. Then punish you for their own stupidity of not paying attention.
Well thats your opinion. But i have never seen a skilled player using unlocks. So my opinion is: noob is not a noob anymore when he becomes skilled.Simon wrote:
