I'm relativity new  to BF2, (i started around the end of may) , and i came to the quick realization that i am a noob!  I had no idea what i was doing, lone wolf, run and gun etc....  I'm coming around though!  I now play squads, more careful with grenades, aware of where I'm shooting and what I'm bowing up, workin on my pathetic  K/D ratio.  It's a start..  Baby Steps.

So my question is when is a NOOB no longer a NOOB?  can this label ever be shaken?

When you stop use unlocks (m95 is ok for... something.. )
When you stop whining about bunny hoppers
When you stop claywhoring

Now I don't know if you actually do some of this stuff, but if you don't you're not a noob imo

when you are a good soldier on the battlefield and don't do things which only a noob would do....for example run around and don't help to cap a flag, don't even hit a tank with the TV missle when you are in the chopper and go on with your fire on an enemy in front of you when you are shot from the side etc. etc. etc.
and of course the label can be shaken because there are always new players who don't know that you had been a noob before

K/D > 1
Age > 12
Medic Hours < All others combined
IO time <<< NOT IO time

When you play for the team, for the win, and not point whoring.
When you listen to what the commander and others are saying, and take their advice.
When you fall back to defend the point, rather than letting them rape you from behind.

When the 'voice from above' no longer has anything left to say at all.  When you never have to worry about being told 'The artillery near by belongs to your enemy.  Destroy it to prevent them from calling in artillery strikes on your team.'

Who cares if you use claymores, unlocks, or are a medic?  So long as it is benefiting your team and squad, and not you running head first into the enemy so that you can get 3 kills after you die with that one claymore you put down, just so that the three medics that were there can come in and revive them.

Yeah that's right: If you prefer G36E rather than AK-101/AK-47 then you're a noob for sure, 'cause then you got no idea what weapons is best

Noob has nothing to do with rank but how you play the game.

There are so many noobs with stars in there rank that just spend alot of time playing.

Why do people allways think that using unlocks makes someone a noob? It's really a matter of your personal preference. Someone likes AK, someone likes l85, someone likes the G36. Who cares? The people that bitch about the unlocks, are the people that get killed with unlocks. They bitch because they don't have the skill to use them. If using G36/ak/what ever gets the job done, who the fuck cares?

Just because you get killed with G36, doesn't really mean the killer is a noob. Think about it. There were two of you, you ended up dead. Whos the noob/less skilled? Yeah, sure you could say that "hes using G36, blind monkey could kill with it". If blind monkey could kill with it, then why not use it yourself? Because it takes no skill? BS, every single weapon takes skill in BF2, even the G36. Just because it's accurate gun with small recoil, doesn't mean it's not a good weapon or is only for noobs. It does the job. Simple. The goal in BF2 is to kill your opponent, not to "learn how to use AK efficiently".

Sheesh!

Oh, and i myself prefer AK over G36 just because AK is sexier ;P But i don't flame people that use G36. If i get killed by G36, i try to learn from the mistake and deal with the situation better next time.
