Some time ago, I stopped receiving any sounds from my card. Since all standard things did not work for it to start working I unplugged it from the motherboard and connected it on another slot. Sound came back. However, ever since, my mic makes very strange noise like beep continuously which makes it unbearable to listen. I have switched off the mic and then it's ok.
I also have integrated sound car on MB but I don't know how to make it active. I think that way I could use my mic and have sounds.
I have SB Live! sound card and I use some Genius headset with mic. I checked both are plugged in properly and everything. Has anyone got any solution for this? I think my sound card is dead. So, how do I override it and activate the integrated one...
