Windows Genuine Advantage Problem

I have a problem with the Windows Genuine Advantage, I had a pirated version of some Microsoft program(not going to say which) and when I did the windows update it dected that I had a pirated version of some windows program. (I think this is what happened not sure) Because every time you download updates from MS the windows checks to see if you are using windows genuine software. Any who the problem which I'm having is that I cant seem to download anything Microsoft because I had the pirated MS software which I dont now. Plus when I run Windows Genuine Advantage it wont detect Active X control or something I need to download some Microsoft programs from the MS server but it wont let me because I think it think Im still using a pirated MS product which I'm not anymore.

anyone know how to solve this problem

or it might be some other problem I'm not sure Im just assuming the Windows Genuine Advantage to be the problem since I cant download stuff from MS website or any MS products from online.

Maybe because you're using firefox to do windows updates is another reason it won't let you proceed?

You have to use Internet Explorer for Windows Update. HAVE to...

Hmmm... Check the link. Manuvrate from the MS start page to teh program download.

well I found out ALL of the mirrors go THROUGH Microsoft, so ... any other alternatives

lol, at the hotel I stayed in in Chile, one of the computers had a pirated version of XP on it... and this was a pretty classy hotel too, not some cheapo motel.
