does any one know if the pent 4 can handle 4 gigs of ram?

The lagging can be caused by numerous things as latency, graphics card etc. Check pentium website if it's possible to use 4 gb of ram end then let me know. I have the same processor and could use some more juice.

I honestly don't see why it would lag. The worst that'll happen is that on 32-bit systems, it won't read the full 4GB of RAM.
Yes, the Pentium 4 can support up to 4GB of physical RAM.
BUT, more importantly, can your motherboard? Does it have enough slots? Will the BIOS support 4GB?
