if you're going to dish out enough money to buy a decent gfx card, you might as well buy a high end DX10 card (8800 gtx/s) and save yourself the second re-buy. No reason to have to buy two, even over a spread out time period.

Gotta get a beefier PSU along with it. With 350W, I'd think the best you can use is 7600GT. Relatively cheap too.

Unless you do want to get a beefier PSU + better graphics card.

Oh yeah, that's another thing - PCI-E or AGP?

Fixed. Thanks.

You probably mean AGP or PCI-E...

save up for an 8600 (if you need one NOW) or an 8800 for the long run

Damn, you must be reeling in a ton atm. Better off going Dual 8800 Ultra's if you want the BEST performance.

ReDevilJr i only wish but i don't have to pay bills yet as i'm still in high school

but it's cheaper than 2 8800 ultras and it has 2GB GDDR4 compared to 1.5GB GDDR3
and once ATI's drivers get better it'll be the best setup possible IMHO

Jesus, you're right. I must've had some huge brainfart or something. Will fix.

Well, still think that a 7600GT will be the best for you. Cheap, doesn't need too much power (I hope you have enough juice though), and will play BF2 pretty well.

That's what I'm about to do, I have a X600 but I'm going to get a HD 2900XT soon.

I was going to get 2 and crossfire it like you, but I think I'm just going to get a single 1Gb version and maybe buy another later if necessary.

Also waiting for the quad core AMD proc to come out.

That's right, I'm buying an AMD and an ATI card...
