Alright, So I've been working my ass off for the past few months toward earning a new PC. I've got the money situation under control. I'm looking to purchase these in the next week.

This is what I'm looking at. (I'm bringing over my current 320GB HD as a storage Drive.)

I Chose the motherboard, processor, and memory so I'd be able to run a 1:1 FSB:Mem frequency w/ the CPU OC'd to 3.6 Ghz. And for the future CPU's. I'm NOT planning on SLI, nor RAID. (I'm planning on getting the 45nm dual/quad cores when they release.)

Looks good. Only thing i would change is the PSU, lesser name brands like Rosewill have a propensity to be teh shit (and not in a good way!) with that setup i would use a thermaltake, OCZ, Corsair etc...

I understand where you're coming from, but the reviews haven't complained about the PSU for it's performance really. I also chose it since the reviews claim to have really long cords, so It'll be better for the Antec 900

I really wish there were some reviews out for the P35 Asus mobos other than the P5K Deluxe. It's so hard to figure out what the others are like. As Sonder said, I'd switch the PSU to something like a Corsair HX520, which have long enough cables, but are rock solid and have more than enough watts/ampage.

I don't know, I've had non name-brand psu's in my last couple PCs and have fared pretty well with them. If your on newegg and the reviews show that high power systems are running fine with psu then the probability of having problems should be low. The chance of failure should be minimal with the expensive big name power supplies, but there are plenty of people that have had them fail as with anything.

Maybe I'm being a little paranoid. I had my Aspire 680w sli die on me after eight months of running a medium-high end dx9 system.... I just say better safe then sorry!

Oh cool, I'm going with the OCZ because It's cheaper, and I don't need that extra 50 watts if I'm not going SLI.

Just remember to take out the jumper on the back of the drive (a flathead screwdriver and fingers would work) so you have it set at SATA 3.0Gbps. Also, just personally I'd get a new DVD drive, rather than open box. The system looks good otherwise. Hope it works for you.

Agreed. That PSU is from a reputable manufacturer, has four 12v w/ 18amps each, should/will be enough power. I think your about good to go.

For the price of that one raptor you can get two larger regular Sata drives and RAID them, probably be a tad faster...(I know you said you weren't interested in RAIDin them but just a suggestion. Maybe a Q6600 instead of the E6850, you can easily overclock it to 3.0 and its quad core, yum. Your gonna have a SWEET rig man, hope your ready for Crysis!

The difference being that for a strong rig and he'll probably upgrade later, he shouldn't have to upgrade the PSU - whereas I'd be hesitant to say "yep that's fine" on your PSU. 38A is still a lot, but I'd rather go with OCZ's 72A on the +12V Rail. That's what you are paying for when you buy a brand name PSU.

What's wrong with midi-towers? My X1900XT is in perfectly with over 4-5 inches to spare, which means that it would easily handle an 8800GTX - if not an Ultra. (Edit: P180 Advanced Super-Midi Tower)

It's a great card - but no point in spending like £100 for the card (used) whenever you can get DirectX 10 for not much more (8800GTS)! Plays BF2 on all high, 4x AA, 1280x1024 / 75Hz etc. Runs at just 45C after a put on an Arctic Acellero and some new Thermal Paste!

Well, I just bought a PS3, and getting anything more than £150 is out of my budged. And if I get, the GTS, I need windows Vista to have the benefit of DX10 as well as another PSU. My current one is 450W. Correct me if I am wrong.

I won't really mind playing games using DX9, as I am only looking to play one PC game this fall and that is Gears of War. And my 6800 would explode if I run that, I suppose!

What's wrong with the open box DVD drive? I will have the power and SATA connections when I get the motherboard, won't I?

I've always had WD, and I'm bringing over my current WD 320GB HD, which is why I'm purchasing a second one, to have two storage drives.

I know there's a lot of debate between the GTX VS the Ultra, but I'm choosing the Ultra because I DO intend on running higher resolutions of 1680 x 1050 to 1920 x 1200 when I get my new monitor... And with DX10, It'll be better on the Ultra.

I'm choosing the Dual-core because I'm planning on getting the quad core for the 45nm processors when they release. The Q6600 just takes up too much power at the moment. When they get them smaller, they'll consume less power and perform better. Games aren't even utilizing all 4 cores yet, MAYBE Crysis will, but it's not definite.

I do appreciate ALL the feedback from you guys!
