They say that unplugging the computer would have saved his life... Its pretty hard to use your computer when its unplugged
He's dumb for not unplugging it to begin with.
Anyone who's even had even a miniscule amount of experience with computers should know you NEVER open your case while the power's still on. EVER.

That's why you make sure you're dry and grounded, kids.

Well he's not a noob because he didn't discharge himself, he's a noob because he decided to open his computer while it was running, and also sat a little too close to it.NemeSiS-Factor wrote:

How does ones leg touch internal parts? Did he jam his knee in there or what?

FTA: His sweaty legs came into contact with the computer's internal wiring, likely causing a short circuit.weasel_thingo wrote:

Doesn't say how he did it though
Uh, by clicking the friggin link. Why? Is there something wrong with the way I worded the question? Because I don't see a leg fitting inside a computer case.weasel_thingo wrote:

I bet he found that 'Shocking'?
That sort of thing can get you mad, maybe even 'Fried'?
Im sure he thought he was 'positive'?
I wonder if he just wanted to go with the 'flow'?
Maybe his information wasn't 'current'?
I bet his nerves were 'amped'?
...ok thats enough....

I regularly open it up while its on to disconnect the power to my 3 fans when I watch a movie.
I've opened up my computer on more than one occasion to move a wire that happened to be rubbing up against on of my fans.SargeV1.4 wrote:

Also, I can't really do this with the power off because I won't know if that fixes the noise.
