I've been playing a lot BF2 in the 2 years I'm doing this sh!t

entered a lot of different servers ,with of course all the weirdest rules any player can imagine

there are a lot of servers out there that have some different server messages like : no commander fighting ,etc etc .

the thing I'm talking about here is the server's time limit given , some have 30 which means rounds are 30 minutes others have 60 or higher like

time limit 240 which means 2 hours and 40 minutes playing a round etc etc .

well I've been playing on servers like this a few times and i liked the fact you don't have loading time ,verifying client data etc and

rounds last LONG !

my question:

is it fair to earn a badge like Expert anti-tank 40 kills IAR ... on a ranked server which has time limit set 60 or 100 or higher ?

have you ever had been recommended for an award, badge,medal or ribbon on this kind of servers ?

I've gotten badges, but doesn't the round end regardless of time if there are no tickets? So if a medal required 30 min, and it ended due to ticket loss at 29 minutes, then you're assed out. Am I right?

I don't think any of the servers I play on have any time limits

Ive played some long ass rounds, in particular when getting a server started.
So yeah, pretty much everyone has...even if its not something they go looking for,

I believe time limits count down, not up. So that screenshot means it has 1hr 10 min remaining.

I hate Servers with timelimit (Spetz have won the game 251:183). But I agree, I had a game someday late at night (3 vs 3) on Sharqi with no ticket bleed, lasted ab 90 Minutes, that was boring. Don't know why I kept playing.

wouldn't it be a little stat padding too ... say you looking for a server to play SF iron gator

and that server has time limit 60 ...

i know there are some requirements like beeing 30 minutes commander or what ever ! ...

chances are you earn them quicker and easier on servers like that , right ?

Nearly all games I've seen (99%+) end with one team getting to 0 tickets or the number of players dropping below the number needed to keep a game going.

Either way having a round last that long sux. I wouldn't bother playing a round for over an hour. There was once on our U.S Server on Warlord where there were about 12 of us, and it lasted forever. Thats how I got my "Best Round" on Warlord. 230+ Points I think....But last night, on our server, rounds lasted no more then 20 minutes because of the small maps, and I was averaging about 40-50 points a round sometimes. Either way you play, the points come out about the same. But...

If its about getting metals and badges that would normally be impossible (44 kills IAR for Anti-Tank? 30 Kills with explosives?) Then ya, I'd join them.

Since nobody seems to get it, it's the MAXIMUM TIME of the round! It does NOT mean that the round will last 240 minutes (Wich by the way, is 4 hours). The round will end when tickets reach ZERO. It counts down, from the given limit. Not up.

Okay , but just to be sure ... it does NOT mean that round will last 240 minutes ... okay ... BUT ... THAT round could last for about 4 hrs if tickets stay balanced for both teams and both teams have same amount of captured flags and say kills ... right ... so that ticket bleeding cause same for both teams

right ?
