We have Jets on BF2??!! If so where are they?? What Maps? I want one!

And yes I am okay in one (CFS) ; but I like air to air combat -- more of a challenge than the Duck Hunt below; sometimes it's fun to bomb a couple tank hoes when no one in the air is a challenge, but so far the challenge is good on full 64, but I rarely get into a plane, because you have 31 people 'patiently waiting' for one.

Well hutchy52, if we play on a server you're on I guess we will not even get into a plane.

Yaw factor would be your left/right axis, i suppose if it allowed you to map it to your mouse it would actually do something, (kinda like that damed SF avaitor badge). All i get is a message saying "duplicate key found in common controls" when i try to map the yaw to the mouse. Upping the yaw factor for land vehicles increases the rate of turn (left/right) by the yaw factor, 2 = twice as fast, 3 = three times as fast, etc. As for mouse flying, tried it, hate it, would rather use the keyboard if i didnt have my joystick . So much easier to fly with, only takes about an hour or two to learn. Needless to say, the vulcan cannon is now my best friend, just watching my K/D ratio go up . A jet guide video would be great, maybe ill DL fraps and give it a whirl too.

Maybe this is a result of being a mouse pilot, but when I'm in either of the USMC fighters, I can't dogfight for crap.  Put me in a J-10 or a MiG and I'll own the skies.  In the F-35 or F-18, I might as well be a free kill in the air.  Are the USMC planes actually inferior or is it something with my style?

EDIT:
To answer some people's questions, yaw factor is how sensitive your left/right turning is in the plane.  If you use mouse/kb, presumably A and D will turn the plane slightly more.  Pitch factor is how easily you can, well, pitch up and down.

Let me add that a barrel roll isn't just rotating on your lengthwise axis. Said axis is also going to be shifting in a circle, thus "barrel roll."

Another avoidance tactic in air-to-air combat is to play around with BF2's max altitude, then go into a stall and fall straight down. 9 times out of 10, your pursuer is just going to hopelessly spin off the map at 2500m with no hope of recovery. You won't get a kill, but it will be awhile before his plane reappears after he's "shot" for going out of bounds. Meanwhile, you'll be able to recover once you're pointed straight down and can see the deck through the fog.

And if people refuse to chase you into the zone, you'll be able to speed away from them faster than they can follow at a lower altitude. Get this down, and you'll be able to "jump" from corner to corner in around three seconds per pass.

im trying to fly with jets when no one wants that. Result- some kills but mostly it ends with crash because my mouse is jumping all the time and im not good at that. i have already read a lot of guides, practise and practise, but I guess it will take for me more hours, days, monthes. It pisses me off, because im pretty good in chopper, but my air service ribbon is only a dream.
