Computer idiot here, so thanks in advance for your patience.

I didn't know I could reset my video parameters until reading about it in a thread about something completely different.

I have a 21 inch monitor (I think, hell maybe it's 19), flat panel, and a GeForce 7900 GS. I think it was the shit when I got it, I'm not so sure now.

Anyway, how do I need to set up my video parameters within the game to optimize my sniping abilities... and spare me the smartass "get better" jokes if you can please.

And maybe effects on medium, just so you can sort of see where the arty is hitting. But, view distance and geometries are the only things you reall need to bump up.

To see farthest and clearest, these are the settings you wanna use

Resolution: whatever your monitor is
View Distance : 100%
Geometry : High
Lighting / Dynamic shadows / Dynamic lighting : as low as they can go
Everything else: medium ish


I think thats everything but I haven't played bf2 in ages so i cant remember

The first thing is to set view distance to 100%. The other very imortant settings is to set Terrain to low. I know it looks ugly but it was tested, you can actually see more with low settings than high or medium.

Becouse some of those guys want to be Mods in the future and they are showing us that.
