Can somebody tell me how I can make a black background to a transparent background?
I have only gimp so if some of you guys use it too you can maybe tell me how it works.

I searched "gimp" / "gimp tutorial" / "transparent" and found nothing.

I think there is no such thing as a transparant background.

well, you could just make your black background invisible in the layer box and then save as .png that should do the trick - I could be wrong I have only worked in gimp a few times, cause when I'm used to photoshop I dont really want to start learning about another program..
