Ok, so I recently came across two, brand new, game controllers (Microsoft SideWinder Dual Strike & a Tesun Play Station style controller). I know people use these for Battlefield for their common movements on there (i.e. strafe, aim, walk, jump, etc.) What I don't get how to do is how to set up these remotes for aiming. I can not see a single spot under controls to have a secondary aim (other than mouse.) Can someone give me a step-by-step procedure on how to set this up correctly (and perhaps how they think the best setup is for it)?

Well first off, that is a strange looking Microsoft controller.  I kinda like it.

Second, I'm not sure if you are able to change it so you can aim with the mouse.  I think if you go deep into the controls.con file you might find something but I'm not the right guy to be asking about this.

I actually have that controller (microsoft one) and I have been unable to use it for any FPS.  So no help here

Maybe soon, seeing as how EA is getting into Mac's (and I think soon releasing 2142 for Mac) but not right now. I made a partition and but XP on it. I run all my PC games on there.

The problem, it looks like to me, with the Microsoft controller, is the same problem with the Sony PSP.
On a conventional controller xbox or sony there are two thumb sticks. 1 for body movement, and the other 1 for head movement.
On the PSP you have the (body) stick and no (head)stick.
So as far as a FPS is concerned, you have to aim with the buttons, leaving you with no diagonal control only, up, down, and side to side.
And that is bullshit. Thats why i got rid of my PSP.
I could be wrong about the Microsoft controller, but thats just how it looks to me.

Well I'm not sure. The problem is that i can't get ANYTHING to aim because the aim feature is through the mouse. In BF options, theres no place for a secondary aim option.
