I just got my License a couple of months ago and I put my Truck on the road (1983 Ford Ranger, First car, what can I say).
Insurance cost me like $1600 Canadian for one year, which is scam if you ask me. I'd hate to know what I'd be paying if I was to insure a new car.
I start off with a High rate for Insurance because of my Driving Experience, Which is crap, you shouldn't be punished because you are deemed a "Inexperienced/worse" driver, The only time they should charge you more money is if you get into Accidents and/or get a bunch of tickets.
And If I do get in a Accident or get a bunch of tickets, I could have my rate increased by up to 210%, that's fucking ridiculous..
And our Car Insurance is Handled by a Government owned Company here in British Columbia, Canada (Its called ICBC). I can't buy Car Insurance from anyone else but them, which sucks.
So... how much are you guys paying?
