The Q6600 as of Sunday was priced at $300. Today, I come back to check the price and it's risen to $345!?!? What the hell? I thought everyone would be LOWERING their prices, not raising them... I talked to a customer service representative and they stated that is their price. Subject to change at any time.
Supply and Demand.

Indeed, but where will the demand be when they raise their prices after Intel drops them. Makes me take my services elsewhere.
Not sold out btw.

It was earlier, like around noon when I checked it, loljoker8baller wrote:

Heh, this morning it was. But seriously, now everytime I look up the Q6600 on newegg, it says page cannot be found. ><
You guys don't realize (and i just did now) the amount of people trying to buy them. In a week they'll go down to normal prices.
More people buying, raise the price.
Less people buying, lower the price.
Less people buying, lower the price.
But raising the price AFTER the known intel price cut will make people not to buy because they know what the prices are supposed to be. This will just take away the customers.

To make $1000 you need:
10 people to buy $100 products
8 people to $125 products
Even though newegg raised their prices, they need less customers to make the same amount of money and have more stock.

But most people won't buy. If it would be for sure that 100 people buy the thing no matter the price of course it would be good idea to higher the price. But many are buying because of the price cuts. So then it's not sure that the 100 people buy it because most of them are after the prices. They could have made more money if they would have just not higher the prices because then more people would have bought it.

.. then they'd have less stock and less money. People will pay an extra $20 probably, and as I stated above. Less customers, more money = the same. And they have the additional plus of more stock still.
Damn you retail sellers.
Just wrong. $375. I'm really sorry I ordered off of newegg now.
Someone doesn't know shit about offer and demand.joker8baller wrote:

People who buy a product that is overpriced, after a price drop doesn't know shit about buying.Yaocelotl wrote:

It was cheaper BEFORE the god damn price drop. $300 -> $345 -> $375.

like in my other post about this i wrote how this was bullshit. All that "price cut" talk reminds me of Y2K bug that never happened! fucking bullshit. and the old conroes are still sitting pretty at regular price, woo hoo. gay, gay, gay.
The AMD Opty 185 dropped a whopping $10.00.....new retail price is $235.00. A Win-Win for Socket939 owners
