Sometimes i think that as a squad leader...its hard to make correct desicions on what to attack and where to go if your commander isnt paying attention to you or he isnt doing his job and scouting for you. Would it be too much to ask if the squad leaders were able to get binculars or soe type of spotting device? You dont always have a sniper in your squad..and if you do chances that they will take a look and let you know what they see are pretty farkin slim..

i think on the squadleaders map should have the results of the last sat sweep on it...
so he can make an informed decision that way but after a few mins its a good as usless cause everyones moved... thatd really screw over campers too i think

That kinda puts an end to all the people asking for personal radar and crap like that. This isn't Rainbow six. Simple binoculars should do the trick fine. They don't even have to be those fancy ones such as from Far Cry or anything. Just some good ole' Bushnells!

i was thinking about binocs too...in BFV they gave optics to the sniper...at least give them to snipers in BF2.......and the binocs now are freakin powerful, and night vision as well

Why do you want to give the Spec Ops guys binoculars? It's the snipers that should have it. The are the spotters after all.

First off all, i think binocs would be nice for some classes, like in good old DC....

Ok, according to the quote: as far as i know, the sniper is not only one man - yeah sure the sniper himself is,
but they were always working in teams consisting of two persons. One sniper and one 'spotter' who shows
the sniper the 'right way' and cares about him....

But this is a game and imo at least 2-3 classes should have binocs.....

Then we'd have the same (and now worse) problem of 6, one man squads..

I was thnking the same thing my first time as squad leader.  In Return to Castle Wolfnestein you get binos at some point.  Would make spotting enemy snipers easier, and not have to rely on the intel not coming from the commander.

I want my binocs.  its  better then to wait for  a slow commander. and night-vision goggles to.. i wish i couldt change the time, to night, or evening,  like in IL2.  Or nighttime maps for that matter.

I think that spec ops and squadleaders should have binocs and it would be god if spec ops had night goggles
