recently playing on my first and only account i use i found i couldnt go prone. THIS is due to me not being able to press Z. AT ALL, not even in bfhq or anything. I tried changing the controls to something else, but its just so hard to do, im so used to pressing Z. If anyone has any answers i would be very greatfull. i made another account a while ago due to the forgetting of my password for my main account (which is now remembered) and i can go prone on that account by pressing Z, so why cant i do this on my good account!?
HEY! I had the exact same problem a week ago. Go here C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Settings\Profiles\Custom\Controls and select infantry and just remap it as Z and it will work!

You killed it.
I remapped my prone key to E, hard to get used to but much better in the long run.
oh and also my xfire isnt working while playing bf2. BAH

oww wen i click on controls it tries to open it with some crappy programme which does nothing. what programme did you use??

hmm, when i try and find prone, it just says "cannot find prone"
