I still think it's a glitch. How can an exploit/hack be so consistent.. 24,577 points?

Give glopje a chance.... I don't believe he was exploiting... he just had bad luck with some kind of glitch in the game. He deserves his hard-earned stats back.

EA thinks differently:
You will not exploit any bug in the Service or in any EA product to gain unfair advantage in the game and you will not communicate the existence of any such bug (either directly or through the public posting) to any other user of the Service.

If, like you said, he did it in 8 rounds then he exploited it.

ex·ploit
Pronunciation: ik-'sploit, 'ek-"
Function: transitive verb
1 : to make productive use of : UTILIZE <exploiting your talents> <exploit your opponent's weakness>
--> 2 : to make use of meanly or unjustly for one's own advantage

Gotcha. Probably got reported by someone like me. I've been reporting for over a month and a half and EA always returns my email saying, "Thanks...we'll take care of that / We take cheating very seriously".

Glad the hackers are getting reset now.

First of all, I know what the TOS states. Second, I know the meaning of the word exploit. You NEED to be a little more civil... you can take that any way you want.

wannabe_tank_whore wrote:

He claims he only played two rounds that day. There isn't a stat displayed here to verify this, so I have to do the math with the commander score history, based on the B/R score.

I'll get with Chuy, and see if he'll send me the snapshot history for those two days. Jan 22nd and 23rd. Depending on how much data he saves in the history, I'll be able see how many rounds he actually played. Until then, there isn't much more I can say about this.

I don't care if I'm right or wrong, I just want to know the truth. Either way!

Actually, from what I can tell he played 12 rounds between those two updates. PLEASE NOTE: THIS DOES NOT MEAN HE LIED. It means that from one of MY updates, to the next, he played 12 rounds. He very well may have played only 2 rounds on the 23rd.

Now, I don't know about you, but earning 196,000 points in 5.8 hours command time? Come on, not even the BEST stat padders could pull that off.

Stat padders are predictable, they are easy to pick out and see when you trend data like this. They have average performance, and then there are spikes that show padding -- this "spike" goes way, way, WAY beyond padding. I would call this a bug. The real solution here is

1) EA/DICE find this bug and fix it.
2) They reset his stats to their values from the 22nd.

Except

1) It's a really hard bug to duplicate, obviously.
2) They don't take snap shots of individual players at intervals, so there's little hop of getting that fixed.

This sucks, and I can't even help much more because I don't keep full snap shots of stats either (not exactly my job though, now is it )

There is a commander bug at devil's perch which gives commander's a huge amount of points involuntarily. I don't think there's any consensus about how it even happens - only that it does. It has happened to many players. When this happened glopje_nl he came here and posted about it. glopje_nl did not try to hide this.

I don't really care if people increase their stats any way they want. They're stats. EA has made a game with features that take ridiculous amounts of time to unlock. I don't care if somebody uses illegitimate means to obtain these features - especially since any dumbass can read somebody's stats and tell if they've done something illegitimate. Who cares if it makes your stats "not feel as impressive."

Clearly glopje_nl did not want this to happen. Even if he did and was just covering his own ass, it'd be best to give him the benefit of the doubt.

If he's playing commander and he repeatedily gets a bunch of points involuntarily than he has no obligation to "leave the server as soon as possible because he's cheating" because he wasn't cheating and the point addition is involuntary. It's EA's bug that caused that - not any action on glopje's part. Period

Really.. wtf is wrong with some of you guys?

Do you NOT read ALL of the posts? or do you see the first post, and just reply.

I would REALLY like the people that screamed HACKER to get their stats erased, just for being a plain asshole.

glopje, i really hope this gets sorted out, and i have seen this happen to other people as well. But as someone has said before, you should email or call EA and explain this in your own language. It would make it much easier to explain your part.

you have MOST (except for the idiots that cant read all of the posts) of BF2S behind you. i cant tell if EA know s about this glitch, because if they did, i would suspect the wouldnt restart your stats.. but as someone said, EA is full of robots.. they cant use intelligence.. if there's a score above the highest possible -- [Initiate clean-up] ...... [/Clean-up done]

/ rant and whatever else you wanna call this

Come on ppl read... READ!!!! Seriously though no one could stat pad that much. It was a glitch and not his fault.

READ THE POSTS BEFORE ACCUSING HIM OF HACKING... READ!!!!

Here is the link for filing an account suapention/deletion dispute. I would try that first.

I'm going to go check my E-mails now... for no apparent reason...

I see what happned glopje_nl. It's an EA error. They've accidently made you have a huge best round score, and then accuse you of cheating. I'm one to believe you didn't cheat and this is an EA stats glitch, because it's happned before. If you need a letter written to EA to argue your case I'd be happy to oblige.

Well, I think it was a glitch and no padding/hacking. EA should give him back his stats minus the command score from the glitch.

And to all those people yelling he should have left the server:

I went on a server and was astonished that I was not able to use my unlocks. When I looked at the player list I was listed as "Private". This made me nervous, I left the server and checked BFHQ. Still had my rank and my badges, my score and my unlocks. Left the game and joined again. Sadly the server was full after that.

The next time it happened to me that I was a "Private" when joining a server I stayed on the server, since I knew it was only a glitch and the teamwork was too good to leave the game and come back in to find the server to be full again.

So if Glopje had similar experiences in the past and like I had the idea "the glitch is just a glitch, but does not interfere with my global score", why should he leave the server and maybe be not able to return to a server with good teams?

I would probably have played another round or two as well, shrugging it off as a display glitch that doesn't do anything to my global score. Having seen so many different strange things happen that didn't do anything to GS (like getting some basic badges again while being a "Private" it is not unusual to shrug this off as nothing serious.

But that is just my 2 cents.

See ya,

Another brainiac.  See if you can follow me here:  you look at your bank statement and notice that you had 6-7 deposits of 24,000 into your account.  You quickly tell your friends of the new found riches you have.  The bank tracks down the error in their software and notifies you and removes the funds from your account.  Now if he was was hacking then the proper law enforcement agencies would be notified but hey... they just reset your account so you're good to go.
No, i cant follow you cause you re obviously full of it.

When my bank deposits money on my account that aint mine, i ll just call them and tell them they made a mistake so they can correct it and sent the money to the rightfull owner.

Dont suggest i would try to steal the money, you obviously dont know anything about me.
