old Rush > new Rush. Snakes and Arrows didn't impress me. Rush is my favorite band, but I was disappointed at Snakes and Arrows because I hyped it up too much. Far Cry is okay, but that's about it.

2112 is my favorite song of all time. Xanadu, Spirit of Radio, YYZ, and Tom Sawyer are way up there too.

Personally, Snakes and Arrows is one of my favorite albums by them. The more I listen to it the more I think I like "new Rush" more than "old Rush." Can't wait to see them in concert this September

The album is amazing. How these guys do it year after year; the shear volume of quality songs, I'll never understand.

I feel vindicated. My first favorite album in my teens was Permanent Waves. I listened to it endlessly on a 8 track cassette.
When Moving Pictures came out February 1981 I became hooked for life. I understand the meaning of the word fan. It means FANatic.

I remember people always saying they didn't like Rush, the singer was too high pitched, they had so few radio played songs, whatever. Pick your 80's bad. 98% of them are gone.
