Older U.S. films are very good, but the stuff in theaters now is just recycled trash.

Unless one has travelled extensively or has obtained some other means (which means it requires $$$) to see these, I'm not going out of my way to find films from other countries. I've seen under 5 films from the UK, 1 from France, and about 3 from Germany. It's hard to paint an accurate picture without some more effort.
