i just got my computer today and it is broken already

ibuypower.com sent me a computer with an improperly installed heat sink/fan for CPU (Thermaltake V1) and then (having fixed the fan to actually spin) i try to connect the computer to a monitor (Viewsonic Optiquest 20") and it doesn't register the input and shows a NO SIGNAL ANALOG box on the blank monitor. can anyone help?

This may sound stupid but are you sure the monitor cord is secured tight enough?
It happened to me once.
If the heatsink was installed wrong... you may also want to make sure your vid card is in correctly too.
Just a couple ideas.

Maybe your default resolution is too high for your monitor.. Trying going into the Bios and find a settings about resolution or starting it in safe mode will bring the resolution down for you....

Make sure that if your motherboard has Integrated Graphics and you have you have a separate Graphics Card, that the on board Graphics is turned off in the Bios..

If you have already turned the pc on before fixing the issue, you may have fried the CPU already and you will get no display without the CPU.
