I know a lot of you worship the God that is 'Rock and Roll'.

So as a kind gesture to this God, I've dedicated a thread to the best you can get.....the solo!

So what you do to appease this God is post ONE video or link to the 'offering'.

I must be old. You can just go watch the movie "The Song Remains The Same" and see a half a dozen random solos that are better than any of that speed metal crap.

To be great a solo needs to be more than simply flying through a scale. Anyone can do that. Even I can rip over a repetitive sequence of frets with my distortion pedal on high. You have to make MUSIC in the process. Witness Jimmy Page, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrix. Those guys could blaze, but they made you FEEL what they were playing.

Give me that over blazing death scales any day.
