I've been watching E307 on G4, all platforms have a helluva line up for the holiday season.

Call of Duty 4 : Modern Combat - all platforms (PS3,360,Wii & PC )

Assassins Creed (360,PS3)

and of course Halo 3 (360)

Theres alot more games that I'm excitied about and I'll post later ---- but what do you think about this years line up ??

yeah, it's been pretty hectic at Nintendo these past couple of weeks, getting everything sorted for E3. Some of the games look amazing and Metroid Prime is such a great game. I love working at Nintendo

I have watched a little bit and must say I'm not super impressed with anything.
Of all the systems I think Nintendo really has something going if they can get some developers to make adult games using their new gun and steering wheel - looks pretty cool.
I was hoping this years show would help me make a decision on my next machine, but it hasn't helped much.

I'm really on the fence on which next gen system I am going to buy between the 360 and PS3.
I like the PS3 controller much better. Never been a fan of Halo or XBox, but the price is better.
So far I plan on playing GTA4 and RE5, which are coming for both systems, but 360 gets the extra downloads.
I wonder what the downloads are and what they cost = is it worth it?
I wonder if any extra GTA4 downloads will be available for the PS3 down the road a bit.

Now that Sony lowered the price $100 I'm slightly leaning towards the PS3 because: controller, better machine and less failures.
I have always been big into game and movie rentals. Blockbuster has announced they are going the bluray direction rather than HDDVD, which is good for PS3 owners (and Sony). I just need to see how many games they rent for both machines, I'm sure it will be pretty close as before.

I consider Nintendo in a race of their own and kickin' some ass.
I'm sure I get one some day, but for now I want GTA4 and RE5 and funds are limited.

I cant believe you missed out Killzone 2, which along with COD4, was the most impressive looking game. Halo 3 looks nothing special graphically, gameplay wise I expect it to be solid and the usual Halo stuff.

Halo is gay. Plain and simple. I can guess a few FPS for the PC that came out before Halo that all own Halo's lameness. Halo was a decent game, don't get me wrong, but it isn't that specatcular. I'll never play Halo 3, as #2 was a shitfest that forced me to hate Bungie for my entire life.

I was glad to see Gears of war was coming out for pc this winter, and COD4 should be pretty awesome after watching ingame vids.

The fps dry spell is coming to an end.

The Assassin's Creed was amazing. If you liked the original Splinter Cell, that might be a game for you. If it does come out for PC, I don't know if my rig can handle hundreds of NPC's. I have been trying to avoid buying a console. That one might do it.
