F2000, waste of an unlock?

I was just thinking to myself how worthless the F2000 seems. I mean, it always felt kinda weird when being held. It also seems somewhat pointless, its neither extremely powerful per shot, and all grenade launchers do the same amount of damage for the same amount of radius. At first I was so excited to unlock it, but soon found myself rarely ever even considering it for a serious BF2 Match. Now I mostly play BF2Pro where unlocks are forbidden, but every now and then I find myself playing normal BF2 using the G3 (which in my opinion is the prime gun of the assault class). The m16 may do less damage then the F2000, but I find it helpful on burst; it allows me to circle around my target in a close firefight without compensating much accuracy.

I don't know, just my thoughts. Anyone else feel differently?

I disagree. I love the F2000. When prone, it's incredibly accurate and powerful. The GL can't really be bashed or credited because they're all the same. It may sound like a pea shooter, but I've gone many a round of BF2 with that gun and ended with 4< KDR.

Ok, every weapon is generally the same as far as balancing, it's just a matter of figuring out how to use the weapon effectively. I like the F2000. If you can't use unlocks, what's the difference then?

Try to use the f2000 on SF i dont know why but it seem that some gun are better in SF...And i LOVE the F2000...okay i love pretty much all weapon because i can handle all of em good.

this is true, but i just feel that the g3 is highly underapperciated. the g3 can cut through infantry like a sorching knife on already warm butter. at least it seems that way to me, now i know the whole shots to kill armor thing and shots to kill nonarmor, but i don't think like that when i play (god forbid anyone does - lets hope we all just play the game) but i just never saw myself using the f2000 once i got used to the g3. i guess its a matter of preference (however flashbangs are funny as hell)

I got expert assault with the f2000, just stick with it and

as with any weapon you'll get used to it.

Just like the P90, i hated it when i first tried it,

now i only use it when i go anti armour, it rocks, start at the middle

of the chest and work your way up to the head.

not a waste. Headshots are easy like the AK101, plus the nice scope. GL and flashbang also comes in handy in close combat. 34 damage per shot means kill w/headshot.

so, going prone makes it more powerful does it?

it is actually not that accurate.

PKM is so much better in so many ways and is has the exact same dmg as G3 so take a guess why ppl never use it.

i loveeee the pkm, however it has a major drawback, the constant need to go prone, and in my personal opinion, going prone is like becoming a sitting duck. however, this is not to say i don't go prone quite often, i just go prone less because of my recent bf2pro playing. i find maneuvering around my enemy help a lot more.

The F2K is an amazing gun, the noob tube is great for pwning corner hiders, and its got this natural attraction to head shots. I love it. Even though it appears to be the shittiest aim every, bust off a few 3 round sprays at a medium range enemy and youd be suprised. Plus your wrong, the bullets are strong.

lol looks cool huh...EA did a shit job of skinning the F2000. when SF 1st came out
i really liked the F2000. it handled well and seemed more accurate. but now it just seems
a little crappier than usual. i prefer the G3, but even then it goes really inaccurate after the 1st 3 rds.
AK101 is my fav. and the M16A2 just became craptastic after the past few patches. i personally hate unlocks
though i use them sometimes....the G36E needs to be killed...hate that fuckin weapon.

Nope. It may not be as accurate as the g3 but it has more rounds per clip and being full auto it's a great unlock for USMC assault players, It does suck on single shot though i have to admit but it rocks against soft targets in cqc, G3 to me is a marksmen rifle i only use it when i engage targets at long range. F2000 is great in it's own ways i like it just needs to be a bit more accurate on single shot and maybe have a better scope.

i don't know, i find the g3 close range to be the deadliest of all rifles (that do not require prone - ex. pkm) i mean if light machine guns didn't need to go prone and i can just be rambo, i would, but until that day... i guess the rifles will have to do

The only worthwhile unlocks are the sniper rifles, if only to give a bolt action rifles to the other armies. Otherwise, the standard weapons are better.

(although the Mp7 is fun)
