I'm assuming it's the whole cocky attitude some of the fanboys have (Not to say all Apple enthusiasts are like this/Not to say there aren't other non-Apple fanboys that are like this). "I've got an Apple product, which means I'm soooooo much cooler and hip than you are." Nowadays, it's not even "Hey, what kind of mp3 player do you have?", it's "Hey, what kind of iPod do you have?"
