I always think of that film being called Tom Yum Goong, because I saw it ages ago. I'm a big fan of Tony Jaa and first saw Ong Bak, long, long before it had a UK/US release. Not really the type of action I'm in the mood for at the moment - I want big Hollywood style stuff.crimson_grunt wrote:

The protector is the American name for "warrior king" the tony jaa film. That might be the film that was being suggested. the Jackie chan protector is cool however. Its a good filmBertster7 wrote:

What is this Shooter film, it's the one with Wesley Snipes, not Dolph Lundgren right?
The films coming up in this list are ones I've already watched recently, to satisfy my craving for action:
Bourne Identity
Bourne Supremacy
Aliens
Predator
Terminator
Terminator 2
Commando
Rambo
Bad Boys
Bad Boys 2
Die Hard
Die Hard 3
Lethal Weapons 1, 2 and 4
Man on Fire
Face Off
Matrix
Matrix Reloaded
Casino Royale
Crank
The Detonator
Tango and Cash
Con Air
The Rock
Clear and Present Danger
Patriot Games
The Fifth Element
I need more action films!
I'm going to try and check out this Shooter thingy....
Shooter is the film with 'Marky' Mark Wahlberg, it should be coming out on DVD soon over here.
I'd just figured that out - too many damn films called Shooter.....buLLet_t00th wrote:

The Professional was on last night. What a great movie.
Heat Heat Crank Heat Heat Kill Bill Heat and Crank. Oh and did I mention Heat?
in 80 days around the world 8-)
What's this Red Siren thing? Haven't heard of that before, yet all the other films you list are firm favourites of mine - I like French films, I think Cassel and Bellucci are great together too (Irreversible, Doberman, Brotherhood of the Wolf etc.).Braddock wrote:

Not as much action as some of the ones listed, but I love Jackie Brown.
It's a Euro movie set in Portugal and France about an Interpol agent, a mercenary and a little girl whose Mum is a crime gang leader who deals in snuff among other things. The cinematography is spectacular and it has some great set pieces. It's in English too. It's like an arthouse action movie.Bertster7 wrote:

Sounds good. I'll look into that.
Can't believe that no one has mentioned this yet, but ANYTHING by Steven Seagal is perfection on film. Look up some SS movies like "Hard to Kill" and "Cradle to the Grave." You won't be disappointed.
(Note: You will be EXTREMELY disappointed with any film that Steven Seagal had anything to do with. The only way to get anything out of these films is if you watch them knowing they are more in the comedy genre than action.)

On a comedy level Under Siege with Steven Seagal and Delta Force with Chuck Norris are brilliant.sexecuti0ner wrote:

Whatever you do, do NOT waste your time with Miami Vice. Probably the worst "action" movie I've ever seen. I suggest the 2 Kill Bill movies.

- Cobra
- Rambo 2 and 3
- Desperado
- Universal soldier and 2
- Underworld and 2
- Under siege
- Indiana Jones (all 3)
- The Specialist
- Eraser

- Con Air
- Blade
- The Matrix
- SWAT
- The Transporter and 2
- Mr and Mrs Smith
- Total Recall
- Fist of Legends
- Romeo Must Die
- Drunken Master
- Legends of the Drunken Master
- Rush Hour
