OEM or Custom

OEM :Original equipment manufacturer, or OEM, is a term that refers to a situation in which one company purchases a manufactured product from another company and resells the product as its own, usually as a part of a larger product it sells. OEM is the company that originally manufactured the product.

I.E. DELL, ALIENWARE Etc.

There's a polls section just FYI

I'd say custom. If you know what you're doing, which isn't much to know, you can build your own for a lot cheaper. And if you read my guide on overclocking like a god, well damn you're set for life.

Custom.

I just built my own custom computer a few days ago. Still working out the kinks in installing the OS, but I've got it. If you don't know what you're doing though, GET HELP FROM A PROFESSIONAL!

I've only ever owned one OEM PC - an Evesham Micros (a UK PC company for those are thinking "Whooooo?"). It was OK, but generally sucked (especially 'cos the mainboard was riveted to the case!). Since then it's been custom builds all the way. Custom builds rule (as I believe the kids don't say any more).
