Where they screwed us in this flick (SPOILER ALERT) is that when you see the boxes being created and go to the garage you're in the first iteration of the timeline. They don't bother to tell you that by the time you see Abe talking to Aaron on the park bench, and go to the lab wherein they talk about the fungus, etc., we've skipped well past the first timeline into God knows which timeline.

The fact that Aaron is wearing an earpiece and either listening to a tape of his duplicate, or possibly even talking to him, lets you know that we are now in an offshoot and that there is already another Aaron. What Abe is telling Aaron, another Aaron already knows.

That's shitty. It does of course make the movie better towards the end, and it's probably necessary for the intrigue factor, but it was a little intellectually dishonest.

They went from Day One Timeline One to Day [Whichever] Timeline [Whichever] making it appear as if it were in sequence. There was a LOT of shit that went on in the meantime, including that exact conversation WITHOUT the earpiece and the foreknowledge of Aaron, to which we were not privy.

Just a thought.

Any other similar movies I may not have seen?

I haven't seen it, but it sounds Tarantinoesque.

...which I like.

Sort of like a Reservoir Dogs type of thing?

Nothing like Reservoir Dogs, which coincidentally is one of the greatest movies ever made. More like Memento...

Nah unlike other films, it never really explains itself I watched it the first time and I was like "Oh I get it".

Then my gf watched it the next day and I watched it with her and then I was like "Oh! Now I actually get it".
