[QW Beta] Xfire ingame chat

I have no idea if i posted this in the correct section but here we go.
my problem:
I have ETQW open beta, and xfire. The last update from xfire made the game
recognizable (or however you spell it lol) via xfire, and it's supposed to have ingame chat
guess what, the ingame chat doesnt work with me...
specs/info:
Windows XP Home edition, Rig that runs the Beta fine, nothing else(?)...

Anyone got this problem too, or knows a (or THE) solution for my problem please share it with me

reinstall xfire. if that doesnt work, open up the file in the xfire directory listing all the games and check if the info is right (exe location, etc)

iv got the same problem, it sees that im playing the game but i cant see what people type
