Never fired one yet, but, and you'll be happy GS, I love the M249, I mean it just looks so awesome, it sounds awesome and you get 100-200 round drums with it. Although you can get different amounts. Also don't Special Forces guys buy loads of after-market parts off the internet to strap to their weapons? I read that in a book I've got about Special forces.
I have fired an L85A1 before at an Army sponsered firing range that was set up at an Airshow once, wasn't half heavy and was difficult to keep the muzzle down after firing on semi.
