Before I had internet running on my comp, I could play it in sp mode no problem. Now its lagging and wont let me play it unless I have the internet on.

My spec 1500 CPU, 550 watt psu, 6600 gt agp card, with two 512 ram memory.

uhhh, you can make an offline account to play single player, otherwise I haven't the foggiest.

Thats a pretty lame CPU to be running BF2 on, what settings you using? And like pirana6 mentiooned, your SP account shouldnt need the internet, so try disabling the net before you play and see if that makes a difference. Windows might be trying to update, or some other program might be. Could explain it....
