Is the fact that 27% of all inmates in State and Federal Prisons Illegal Aliens a Problem?

Also when they finish their sentence, why aren't they deported immediately?

Those who are against illegal aliens reaping everything we have set aside for our children and grandchildren, are NOT against LEGAL IMMIGRATS, and LEGAL IMMIGRATION! There is a vast difference between LEGAL and ILLEGAL.

People, we are going to lose our country if the average citizen does not understand what we are really up against here. READ THESE STATISTICS BELOW, AND THEN GET BUSY! Call your elected officials and demand they FOLLOW THE IMMIGRATION LAWS THAT ARE ALREADY ON THE BOOKS!!! Period.

ILLEGAL ALIEN STATISTICS
Summary: On average each day 25 Americans die at the hands of criminal aliens in the United States. Twelve Americans are murdered by criminal aliens. Another ten Americans are killed by drunk-driving criminal aliens. Finally, an additional three Americans will die because of negligent homicides by criminal aliens, such as running a red light, speeding, or the negligent handling of a dangerous weapon.

Murder - The willful (non-negligent) killing of one human being by another. This includes first and second-degree murder, as well as non-negligent manslaughter. Murder does not include deaths caused by negligence, suicide, or accident; justifiable homicides; attempts to murder or assaults to murder, which are considered “aggravated assaults.”

Negligent Homicide - Negligent homicide is the killing of another person through gross negligence or without malice. It can also be considered a death that is the result of the negligent operation of a motor vehicle, which includes the operation of a car, boat or snowmobile.

Source: Iowa Representative Steve King (IA-5) first brought these alarming statistics to our attention earlier this year. Recently, Congressman King was the guest of Bill O’Reilly who had asked the Iowan come on his show to discuss his findings in greater detail.

Statistics:

Criminal Alien Prison Population –
According to an April 7th, 2005 General Accounting Office (GAO) study entitled, “Information on Criminal Aliens Incarcerated in Federal and State Prisons and Local Jails” [Report # GAO-05-337R] prepared for the Congressional Subcommittee on Immigration, Border Security, and Claims:

“27% of the total population in all U.S. prison systems (including city, county, state and federal) is composed of criminal aliens.”

Total Murders in the U.S. in 2005 –
According to the FBI, there were 16,692 persons murdered in the U.S. in 2005. The Uniform Crime Reporting Program defines murder and non-negligent manslaughter as the willful killing of one human being by another.

Total Drunk-Driving Fatalities in the U.S. in 2005 –
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, 12,945 Americans were killed in car crashes where the driver had a blood alcohol concentration of .08g/dL or higher in 2005.

Calculations:
Total number of people murdered in the U.S. at the hands of criminal aliens in 2005: 4,507
This number is calculated by taking 27% multiplied by the total number of murders in the U.S. in 2005 (.27 x 16,692 = 4,507)
This figure equals approximately 12 murders every day at the hands of criminal aliens (4,507 / 365 = 12)

Total number of people killed in the U.S. as a result of drunk-driving criminal aliens in 2005: 3,495
This number is calculated by taking 27% multiplied by the total number of alcohol-related fatalities in 2005 (.27 x 12,945 = 3,495)
This figure equals approximately 10 deaths every day at the hands of criminal alien drunk drivers (3,495 / 365 = 10)

Conclusions:
Twenty-five Americans die at the hands of criminal aliens every day in the U.S.
(12 murders + 10 drunk-driving fatalities + 3 negligent homicides = 25 deaths every day)

In the year 2005, criminal aliens killed more than three times the number of Americans murdered in the terrorist attacks of 9-11 died.
9,125 Americans died at the hands of criminal aliens in 2005, as compared to approximately 3,000 Americans who perished in 9-11.

Additional Statistics:
Federal prison criminal alien population:
Total number of criminal aliens in federal prison: 48,708
Mexico 63%, Colombia and Dominican Republic 7% each, Jamaica 4%, Cuba 3% and El Salvador 2%, remaining countries represent less than 2% each.
Source: Bureau of Prisons (BOP)

Top 5 State prisons system criminal alien population:
Total number of criminal aliens in top 5 states’ prison systems: 51,600
Mexico 58%, Cuba and Dominican Republic 5% each, El Salvador 4%, Jamaica 3%, remaining countries represent less than 3% each.

Top 5 local jails’ criminal alien population:
Total number of criminal aliens in top 5 states’ prison systems: 170,000
Mexico 65%, El Salvador 6%, Guatemala 3%, remaining countries represent less than 3% each.

unfortunately, it costs money to deport these people.  further, the home country might not want these people to come back (it's your problem now).  of course this doesn't make it right.  I agree with you on the deportation issue, however - something needs to be done here.

why is Mexico such a shithole that people want to leave it in droves?  how can that situation be improved so that it's own people want to stay there and prosper?

Hey Harmor, would you mind providing a citation/reference for those stats?

Bubbalo is right. Although Mexico has been reluctant to make any meaningful reforms on its own, Colonial Europe and the United States haven't done anything to help them out either. After Mexican Independence, American firms pillaged the mineral resources of Mexico. Imagine what other resources Mexico would have access to if the United States had not taken the land from California to Mexico, and as far North as Colorado!

If the United State is serious about immigration we as a nation will pressure our companies who do business there to pay a fair wage, and to not take advantage of any and all loopholes. When residents of Latin America are given a good reason to stay home . . . they probably will.

I dont know where you get your information but the U.S. never plundered mexico's resourses.  The reality of the situation is that mexico has huge oil reserves but they are controlled by the largely socialist govt and thus have not been developed to their full potential.  As far as the U.S "taking their land" that is pretty much a crock.  If the U.S. is guilty of taking anybody's land it is the land that belonged to the Native Americans.  Just because the mexican govt had a handfull of outposts that they used to claim indian territory doesnt mean that they are entitled to it.  Any reform in mexico is going to have to come from within.  The leftist leaders of that country will never let it happen though.

You know...  The British had a great way of dealing with excesses of criminals.  Ship them off to some random Pacific island.  They certainly can't come back after that.

I get the feeling they come from the same general area as the "Mexican immigrants are responsible for over 7000 new cases of Hansen's Disease (leprosy) in the US over the past three years" statistic, aka "bullshit".

The Mexican government profits too greatly from how they allow foreign businesses to abuse the Mexican people and exploit their labor and resources to have any interest in meaningful reforms. What's more, nobody here in the US screaming about the horrible blight of illegal immigrants really gives a damn whether Mexico is a third-world shithole or not, they just want Mexicans to stay there (unless they can turn a quick buck off them being here). It's like saying to someone "Hey, I know your landlord doesn't upkeep the place you live in and your neighbors keep dumping trash in your yard but I don't think you should ever be allowed to leave because I don't want you dragging your problems into my part of the neighborhood.".

Unfortunately we as a nation are only serious about immigration as a wedge issue. It's being used to pit workers against other workers by the people who profit directly from it laugh all the way to the bank. It's being used as a convenient cover by racist scumbags who can now claim "I'm not a racist! I just love America!" while they try to link an entire nation of people to disease, crime and poverty using bogus statistics made up from thin air or recycled from past racist crusades against Irish immigrants, Chinese immigrants, Japanese immigrants, Italian immigrants and a whole host of other past immigrant groups going almost all the way back to the original thirteen frickin' colonies.

so i read bubbalo's response as saying that capitalism drives many to want to come to the US for prosperity.

so where does communism come into play here?  i do not see any correlation here.

Commie is suggesting that I want the world to turn Communist, which is half true (half meaning that realistically I think mankind isn't read for that).

My point is that without any raw materials, and without a base of skilled labour, Mexico has little chance of going anywhere.  That's one of the effects of Capitalism.  The rich tend to stay rich and the poor tend to stay poor.
