translation: okay stats seem to work for some people... but we have no idea why and what happend! we didnt do anything but hope that the same thing happens to all servers, because we are still completly clueless. we could inform you, once the servers healed themselve BUT the community will notice that before we notice it anyway.Untouc]-[ab|e wrote:

No, they are not back, i just got on and earnt a quick 50 then logged of and back on to see if they updated.....no.....no they didnt

Well went on some more servers and stats continued to update, FINNALLY I kept my promotion hurah. But yeah like someone said the medals and ribbions arn't updating, like not only not recording getting them but not recording time.

Stats are partially working again...The best solution is to wait an official message from EA or gamespy telling us :
"dear BF2 players. Statistics are working again. We apologize for all problems, for all the points you loosed, badges and ribbons."

Stats were not the only thing that seems working again.
youtube streams turned back to normal. ( which was really slow for a while )
a site from netherlands (multitouch.nl) started to give response. ( site was unreachable )
I think that's not only about stats. And gamespy or who blamed are not responsible about the issue.
It seems a long misrouting errors on major internet service providers or there were some h4x0r5 DDOSing and keeping busy somewhere important.
Did anyone notice any slowdown on youtube streams recent days ?
youtube streams turned back to normal. ( which was really slow for a while )
a site from netherlands (multitouch.nl) started to give response. ( site was unreachable )

My stats updated on 3 different servers today. Finally.
Some of the servers seem to be recording stats again, but does anyone know anything about our past statistics - when everything was down??? Are our stats from that time period lost, or will they be recovered? Would there be anything I could do to get them back?

I dare not play anymore...I mean all that work towards Expert Assault, all gone...kinda of a bummer, to put in mildly. I never guessed myself as a statwhore, but progressing through the ranks is nice, and does give me as sense of accomplishment. I don't need to compare to others, but when I look at my badges etc, then it's something I earned. I miss that....
