Got a quick question on bans. Don't know if anyone has asked this up, also searched and used Banned as the search. Question is when you are banned from a server is it banning your Player Name, GUID, or CD Key?
GUID...Btw GUID is the CD-key
GUID is an adaptation of your CDkey, when you are banned from a server your CD-Hash is banned, and any derivatives of the Hash, such as your GUID, get banned along with it
can be done either way.. admin can choose to ban your ip, username or CD-Hash.. so to answer your question, only the admins on the server know the answer as it applies to your case

Most of the time when an admin kicks or bans, it's with the in-game console. And the standard setting of the program is kick/ban the hash.adv3rsary wrote:

(they have to go alt-tab to ban the ip or username if they want to).
So 99% it's the CD-hash used for a ban.

Is there anyway to change your CD key without uninstalling the game or is that what you have to do? Uninstall and put the new cd key in?
Just find a new server dammit, there about 800 populated BF2 servers. In your case its 799 now.

Now I got a new problem, when I try to reinstall BF2 it gets to Dalian_plant/client.zip and says Failed to install Battlefield 2, try again from the beginning. Anyone know why it is saying that?
turn off your hax.
Do a custom install and install Strike_at_karkand/client.zip. It's all you'll ever need.
