Probably not.
But I have never tried to use the grappling hook on Iron Gator, nor have I felt the need to do so.

Gator doesnt have grapples or zips.

I believe they were originally on the map when it was released but taken out in a later patch (I cant understand why).

it would then be too easy for MEC to board the carrier:

take boat around to the back, go to a spot on boat where u are just sitting with ur gun, switch to grappel, throw on to carrier, get in water, then grab onto the rope and climb on. <----Too easy to get on then

That would be so cool though. You would have a bunch of squads climbing on the side of the boat. It would look like a real assault on the carrier

mostly, but if you throw it on the lift you could climb there, reall it would only give one extra entry point

are they really necessary? you can get pretty much anywhere on the boat without them... and don't forget about parachuting from the cow for those hard to reach upper places.
