BF2S Forums Info on "Stats not updating" ... and "Stats may be back"

its something on their end, thats for sure. played on a server that has updated my points before and it didn't do it yesterday or the day before.

unfortunately, I'm not going to wait a decade for this to be fixed. and you would think they'd have some official news info thing on their site by now........

They are working on it, they have posted an update today, they have responded positively to people by email and by all indications they are narrowing the problem and the stats will be back. They wont say for sure if anyone will keep what they played. Some phone operators have said "yes" you will get your stats...others have said nothing or wont guarantee it. I will give it more time..in the meantime there are plenty of other things in life to do.

Starting around the 13th-15th, we saw a sharp increase in soldiers reporting that their stats, awards, and rank are not updating. This is under heavy investigation since, as you know, the ranking system is a central feature of the game.

Unfortunately (and honestly) I have to report that this will continue through the weekend. The good news is that the RSPs have really rallied to the cause and working with DICE, IGN, and our Battlefield Support teams, providing gigabites upon gigabites of server data to help get to the root of the issue.

On the stats server side, we're seeing more server stats being processed than not. This doesn't mean that resolving this is a lower priority, but it does mean that you may be able to try some servers you don't normally play on and recieve stats while work on the issue continues.

Personally, I'd like to thank you all for your support of the game (and my fragile self). Everyone who has suggested some good mods to play, or made fun 'things to do while the stats are down' threads, or reported server information when I requested it has helped this community tremendously. This is a tough issue and I really appreciate everything you've done to help.

I'll check in this weekend to provide you with any updates.

BFHQ is not updating either. It is ironic how we call EA a bitch, etc but when the stat server is up we start playing BF2 again...who's the bitch now.
I put in several hours of play time today, been playing recklessly so hopefully my Jihad Jeep suicides will not show up

From what I've heard, the servers are still collecting the data, but they aren't being able to be sent to EA.  If this were true, as long as the servers remain up, and not crash, (what are the odds...) then, once they fixed the problem, the stats would be able to be sent.  I'm not sure if this is 100% true, but if it is, that would explain us getting our stats back once its fixed.

I don't really care if the stats are a week old, I mostly just build up hours. As long as it's not like a start over thing, I'll be happy.

It amazes me that people keep coming here asking the same questions over and over and over and over again. Let's try this on for size.

1) How come your stats aren't updating? Because since about the 13-15 of June, the stat servers failed or have had outages. There have been a couple of updates from EA that the stats are NOT being processed properly from the game servers to the stat servers. The "snapshots" are NOT being processed. They STILL do not know the exact reasons and do NOT know when it will be solved. All they have said is that they are still not updating and they will continue their work on Monday.

2) Will you lose your stats? NOBODY KNOWS. EA operators and reps have said numerous things here. Some have said that you will not lose your stats (this would be funny for those jihading, teamkilling etc), some have said that you may lose the stats you earned during this outage. Even the EA forum states this. You may or may not lose your stats since the outage....NOBODY KNOWS FOR SURE...NOT EVEN EA!!!!

3) When will the stats be up? NOBODY KNOWS!! Nobody here can tell you and no one from EA/DICE/GAMESPY have stated or announced any date for the stats to return to normal.

BOTTOM LINE!!!!!!! EA knows there is a problem and have stated on several posts and updates that they are narrowing the problem down. NOBODY knows when the stats will be back up and NOBODY knows if you will earn the stats you gained during the outage. Its as simple as that, quit asking when or why,,,,because NOBODY but EA can tell us and they aren't ready to.
