but i generally dont seperate my 1000's with "," commas just a slight gap.

the real question is: Why would you botter about those few cents if you are spending 10.000 anyway!

We learned at school:
EU = 10.000,00
US = 10,000.00

However, on computer, it's common to use the US version, or just drop the ',' like 10 000.00 or 10000.00

in maths you shouldnt be worried about punctuation as long as you dont have the decimal in the wrong place, but in reality who would put .00 after it when its not needed and its quicker to write without..

Who doesn't know how to use a comma and decimal point when using numbers?  That's like 2nd grade stuff there.
