Can anyone plz recomend a motherboard that  i could purchase in order to improve the performance of bf2 (and performance in general) that is compatible with pentium 4 northgate and has agp gfx support. Not too expensive, less than 150 dollars AU, or 120 American

I dont think u inderstand how shit my current motherboard is. It wont even recognise the expensive ass (for me) stick of ram i bought to add to my current 512 mb, and it is hell slow, bottlenecking my graphics and such things, using agp 4x interface instead of 8x

Hi Mate

I use Abit IC7-G mobo for both of my P4 machines. Its S478 with AGPx8 etc and dual channel DDR.

Not sure if your P4 was S478 if so its the one to have

Im running P4 3.2 prescott S478 HT
2x512mb DDR400 DC Corsair Ram
Sata D9 hdd 160gb
Audigy 2zs
NV6800GT 256mb Golden Sample (Gainward)

BF2 runs sweet as @1600x1200

You wont notice much of a difference between AGP 8X and 4X, I bet.  It just sounds a lot faster.  And, if you're going to upgrade your mobo, you should really be doing your processor at the same time.  Going to a cheap AMD 64 would be smart for you.
