That game really sucks up time. No joke at all.
Sex is to WoW as masterbation is to Oblivion.

This game makes me into a zombie.

CS:S is BF2 with a different name (24/7 Strike at de_dust2 or 24/7 cs_office Island)
CoH also got a bit dull
America's Army, well, the training is the fun part

Any good games out? Or are we in a for a boring, uneventful summer?
Some examples...

Doom 3 Coop Mods: http://www.d3opencoop.com/ ; http://lms.d3files.com/
- when combined, enable three multiplayer coop campaigns (Doom 1 Episode 1 Remake, Doom 3, and a custom campaign) and some other game modes. really refreshes this game, if you have it

Thief 1, 2, 3
- 1 if you don't mind old graphics, otherwise 2 and 3 are welcome changes from the norm of the first-person genre

Aliens vs Predator 2
- not sure about server population anymore, but the campaigns are good

Hitman (series)
- smug strutting, flapping tie, bar code tattoo, fireaxe and fiberwire

Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War Platinum Edition
- including the original and both standalone expansion packs. with all three you can use all the armies in multiplayer. hey, it's still cheaper than the figurines

Halo 2
- if you have Vista, I suppose it's a decent title. haven't played it myself

Prey
- portals and gravity shift, taking concepts that made serious sam great and giving it a plot and a doom 3 engine makeover

Serious Sam; SS Second Edition
- as mentioned above. servers are still up for these, and though deathmatch isn't that spectacular, there's nothing like running around with an entire cannon in your hands, shooting huge black rolling balls at hundreds of ludicrous monsters online

Diablo II: Lord of Destruction
- like WoW, only better and with free B.net play. you wouldn't believe how populated this game still is

Galactic Civilizations II: Dread Lords (Gold Edition)
- if you haven't already been hooked, this game can get you into the "one more turn won't hurt" rut of addiction

Jedi Academy
- lightsaber duels online. ctf comes in second

--

Unreal Tournament 3 (formerly Unreal Tournament 2007)
- the game with the engine that so many following titles will be using. keep an eye out for it

Crysis
- if you don't know, i won't even bother talking about it

To be blunt, the game looks like shit, in terms of PC games, but I guess it's good for the xbox 360...

Or how bout mods for BF2... Some are a completely different game from BF2. Different rules, armies, weapons, playstyle... and you dont have to spend a cent.

www.realitymod.com
Im sure you have heard billion comments about Project Reality.

Than you have a Israeli Defense Forces mod coming soon
http://idf.c4-network.com/

And you have 2 promissing WW2 mods also
http://www.bgfmod.com/
http://forgottenhope.filefront.com/main … s&mod=

Most people stay away from mods because they dont understand the logic behind playing it if it doesnt count to their precious stats. But since you are fed up with vBF2 you wont have that problem

Also Combat Missions is about to be released:
http://www.gamespot.com/pc/strategy/com … lt;title;0

Its NOT one of those RTS games where you build a base, gather resources, build 200 tanks, split them to 5 groups and demolish everything thats red on the map. Im not a fan of those "strategies". This one looks to be more mature.

He says he's bored of Bf2. But honestly, project reality will suck a lot of time up. It's difficult at first, and I hated the maps I played, but when I tried it again, I'm loving it.

KOTOR (star wars knights of the old republic) good rpg, its like a short oblivion just with blasters and lightsabers and force powers, its got an amazing plot and a refreshing combat system (its 3rd person and you choose who you want in your 3 man group, in a fight you pause time tell everyone who to attack and how (or just let them fight on their own) then un pause it and watch the massacre of decent teambased 3rd person strategy.)

great game, costs about a fiver so you can't go wrong.

X3 reunion that'll suck up some time too, its kinda like oblivion just in space ships but its also kinda a space ship flying nad combat simulator. great graphics will take about 100-300 hours to complete. you can build your own empire and buy your own space stations so you can grow rich and build enormous fleets etc.. if you have the time.

oblivions great as well just i kinda cheated on that by giving myself any item i wanted, i.e. i had full daedric armour and 99999999999 gold as well as the most powerful sword in the game (goldbrand) and the most powerful staff (staff of apothasis (imagine what a grenade would do to a sheep and thats kinda the power it has) ) and the most powerful shield too, i got bored before i completed it as i just annihilated every thing when i was about level 7 when people normally manage to complete it at level 20 odd. I also stopped as i slaughtered every single town and village, seems that the guards respawn though so they're just guarding ghost towns.

anyway they're the games i reccomend.
