Although metalcore is getting old and is way to simple I recommend.
Heaven Shall Burn (GER)
Caliban (GER) cant stand them but they´re hyped as hell
As I lay dying (US)
Killswitch Engage (US) prolly the best "metalcore" band

what is metalcore anyway, is it a combination of Metal and Hardcore?
good question! I would say this subgenre is defined by the following:
Vocals: partly clean, mostly in the chorus. Vers etc. in growls, screams
Drums: mid tempo (120bpm-160bpm) double bass 4/4
Guitars: mostly just riding the low E string (tuned to C or B) in powerchords, with some pentatonic licks
Bass: see guitars
this is just the regular metalcore style, doesnt count for KSE (which are excellent musicians)

Killswitch Engage is the only metalcore band I listen to.
hatebreed - hollowground love tht song duno if its metalcore but its rocks lol
