None of you noticed he didn't have a hard drive.....
Link to the products on www.scan.co.uk would be good.

One of these http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ProductI … tID=567857
Ok, do you think I need this: 400W North-Q Super Silent 12-17DB With 140mm Fan when the case (Xclio 3060-25 Midi Tower Case 25cm Side Fan Super Cooling Dual Core Ready w/o PSU) comes with a cooler?
Also, do you have any links to good tutorials that you followed when you first built your own computer?

Thats the PSU, that powers the PC and so that fan is pretty much used just to cool itself and not the other parts of the computer.[LRDG] Ed wrote:

I would advise to buy the single parts and find someone who can connect them together
That always cheaper than buying sets, you can choose every single part of your own computer and you ain't dependent on any company...

Re-done the products:
Thoughts?
However, it's more than I hoped to spend, is there anything that isn't worth buying or I could downgrade and it would still be good?

Ok. Get a lower CPU. You don't need the E6600 unless you want some serious overclocking and gaming to be done.
Get this C2D E6320
Then get a better mobo.
ASUS P5N32-E SLI
You are also missing a PSU....
Tbh, for £500 you weren't going to get too far...

He doesn't need that board, its a wate of money if you aren't using it for gaming or overclocking.Zimmer wrote:

I agree with the CPU, get the cheaper lower clocked one.
What happened to the PSU you had before?
Better?
Is there anything else I could change?
Also, will they all go together?

Do you really need a screen? Can't you use your old monitor?
If you're not a hardcore gamer. Just get something like a 7900GS. Better bang for buck.

And it's not like your screen is massive, 1280x1024 isn't exactly blisteringly high where you need a super video card. You'd still be able to play all the games with this, check out reviews for it.
