Congrats. I don't think I could ever have the stomach for a helpdesk position. The first retard I had to deal with would be too much to bear.

Just left work for the last time.  I was supposed to be there at 5 a.m. but decided to show up at noon.  My boss  didn't like that very much and turned off my access card earlier this morning.  So when I got there I had to go in through the visitors parking lot, stand at the entrance waiting to be let in and then sneak in to the service desk all James Bond like.  Packed up my shit, said goodbye and had one last conversation with my boss.

Boss: What time you show up today?

Me: Just now.

Boss: Why, you're supposed to be here at 5?

Me: Didn't feel like it.  Wanted to spend time with my gf rater than the morons on the phone.  Besides, its never busy on Thursday.

Boss: Well, IT HAS BEEN BUSY TODAY!  We've been getting slammed all day, our SLA's are .......

Me: Not my problem.  Have fun.  Goodbye.



I don't like my ex-boss very much.  He is a very cold, impersonal, douche-bag.  He wanted me to give him proof that I went to the hospital because I thought I was having a heart attack, he wanted proof that I was taking time off to go to a funeral, he wanted proof that I had went to the hospital to see my cancer ridden mother, he denied me vacation for over 6 months, he denied me good work hours in favor of contractors that hadn't even been hired yet, he was always short with people and really cared about no one other than himself and his stupid SLA's.  Definitely the worst boss I've ever had.  Big part of the reason I left.


Also, for those of you living in the Boston area.  If you are ever sick or injured, I personally, do not recommend the New England Medical Center.  After some of the conversations I have had with the nurses, staff, and doctors that work there........well, I'm seriously in doubt that the care at that hospital is..."par".
