So today I went to play guitar hero and I turn on my Xbox and the only thing I get is sound. I plugged into two Tvs. with HD and regular on one and still no video. So is there a way to fix this because im pretty sure it is only the video part of the cord it seems or could it be the xbox. Should I try a new cord high end one.

No red light I can hear everything working but can't see anything.
i had this problem and all that was wrong was that the cords weren't all the way in. so i just wiggled em a bit and punched the xbox and it worked. it was with guitar hero also.

yeah ive had this happen too, reseat all the cables, and the harddrive

but on a serious note check ur X-Box maybe the CD is not being read that why nothing is being displayed on the screen.

i think you have a screwed a/v cable then... looks like you'll be calling the dreaded microsoft tech support
I called tech support bought new cable and nothing. so after my dad had to take it apart to see if anything got unhooked inside the warranty is now gone so we are going to try and exchange maybe even for the black one. even though I just got a new car and need to help make payments for it.
You can buy new xbox's for about £40 second hand off ebay.
So about $25-$30 ?
